Telecoms Executive Board Search
Our client is a Telecoms operator in the Kingdom of Bahrain with a large market share in both consumer and enterprise services.
Due to RP International’s established track record of supporting not only our client, but all the Telecoms operators across MEA and many globally, the client retained RPI to lead the refresh of their Executive Leadership team.
The Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer decided there was a need to recruit several executives from outside of the Bahraini market to bring global best practices to the business and lead the organization across several functions, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Digital Officer, Strategy and Transformation Executive Officer, and GM Enterprise Services.
This broad change in the leadership team represented a major shift in HR strategy and the need to search and select talent not only with the right technical and market experience, but also with the right leadership style and temperament, was critical to building an effective team.
RPI’s long history working with Middle Eastern Telecoms companies was critical in assessing candidates from both within the region, knowing their true accomplishments and being able to reference them through our existing network in the region, and assessing candidates from outside of the region for the correct temperament and ability to be an effective leader in a new country and culture.
In the end, RPI used their Global Talent acquisition skills to offer the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Digital Officer, Strategy and Transformation Executive Officer, and GM Enterprise Services with candidates coming from a mix of backgrounds, from within MEA and globally. The team was very well received.
