RPI Appoints Head of Contract Recruitment Europe, CIS and LATAM [01/10]
RP International is pleased to announce the appointment of John Kobelt who has joined us to head up the contract recruitment team operating across Europe, the CIS and LATAM.
John has over 15 years of dedicated telecoms recruitment experience, nine of which involved managing sales teams. During his career he has developed a number of large global accounts with responsibility for an international team supporting over 250 contract consultants for major telecom vendors and operators.
On joining RPI in January he explained that he was eager to work with a specialist consultancy which brings together skilled consultants to provide flexible solutions.
He said: "I am pleased to join RP International at this exciting stage in their lifecycle. As a leading provider of subject matter experts into OSS and BSS projects they have an excellent reputation and I hope to contribute to their ongoing growth."

RPI joins the celebrations at CommsMEA [12/09]
Key figures from the Middle East and Africa telecoms markets came together on 7 and 8 December 2009 for the CommsMEA conference and awards.
RP International’s specialist telecoms team were in attendance and contributed to one of the standout events.
The highlight of the first day was the annual CommsMea Awards and dinner. RP International sponsored the event and hosted two tables, which included distinguished guests from Booz, du, Zain, Batelco and Delta joined by RPI Managing Director Jonathon Morse, Head of Telecommunications Abbed Anabtawi, and other members of the telecoms team. Around 250 guests enjoyed an excellent dinner and the celebratory atmosphere.
Abbed was also invited to present two awards at the ceremony. He presented the Telecoms Deal of the Year to Batelco (see picture above) and the Telecoms Technology Investment of the Year award to Zain Bahrain. Bahrain swept the board at the awards and RP International was enjoyed helping them to celebrate their victory. Read more about the awards here.
RPI also played a role in the two-day HR Summit. Abbed contributed to a panel discussion titled Establishing the Most Effective and Cost –Efficient Methods of Recruitment and provided the closing presentation, Working With Ex-Pats, bringing the conference to its end on a high.
Chris Baker talks employment trends with Telecomasia [10/09]
RP International Managing Director Chris Baker featured in the October issue of Telecomasia speaking about employment trends across the region.
As part of an article on a potential upturn in the Asian telecoms industry, Chris was invited to discuss the state of the jobs market, employee attitudes and the availability of skills.
He told the magazine: "We are certainly hearing about pockets of positive news, and our feeling is that if the current rally of the markets rolls through to January, we will be seeing an interesting H1 with a lot more companies looking to aggressively ramp up."

Updated website reflects ambitious plans [10/09]
RP International (RPI) has launched an updated website to reflect the launch of its new technology business.
From October, RPI will provide specialised technology recruitment services to complement its existing telecoms focus.
The two service lines will both operate across the global marketplace from hubs in the UK, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.
The refurbished sight reflects RPI’s ambition to become the world’s leading provider of specialist telecoms and technology recruitment services. It has been streamlined to improve user experience and the design has been freshened up.
RPI expertise featured in re-launched Recruiter magazine [09/09]
RP International’s APAC Managing Director Chris Baker has featured in the September issue of Recruiter magazine.
He was asked to provide a piece about recruiting in the Singapore telecoms industry. In it he provided an overview of the sector and highlighted key trends. The article can be found here.
With a decade’s experience in telecoms recruitment, and experience as one of the key founders of RPI’s Dubai office before establishing the RPI APAC regional hub in Singapore, it was felt that Chris was ideally placed to contribute to the new business-focused version of the magazine.
RPI International ‘highly commended’ in online recruitment awards [09/09]
RP International is one of four recruiters placed in the 'highly commended' category for the executivesontheweb.com Online Recruitment Award for 2009.
The jobs board polled 200,000 executive job applicants on the quality of service they had received from recruiters.
The candidates were invited to rank each job on the level of customer service they had experienced. Grades ranged from one (Poor) to five (Excellent).
Each recruiter was graded according to their average rating based on a minimum of 20 job postings
RPI doubles APAC capacity [08/09]
Two years after its launch, RP International’s (RPI) APAC office in Singapore has doubled its capacity.
The regional office has continued to perform well during the downturn and, after recording a profit in its first year of trading, it is now forecasting growth.
To capitalise on its positioning as the leading specialist telecoms recruitment company in APAC, RPI has expanded its office space and is recruiting towards a corresponding increase in staff numbers.
The office, based in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District, was also refurbished in line with RPI’s recent rebranding.
IT boost to local hospice [08/09]
RP International has donated 14 monitors to the IT team of a Sussex hospice.
St Catherine’s Hospice was provided with the equipment by staff at the international recruitment company’s Crawley office.
Matthew Cornish, from St Catherine’s said: “St Catherine’s Hospice is a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers.
“All our care is free but only made possible thanks to the generosity of our business supporters such as RP International.”
RPI appoints Executive Search Director [02/09]
Robert Graham-Bryce has been appointed RPI Director for Search and selection. With 12 years of international experience, Robert will be responsible for managing the executive search and permanent recruitment team based in the UK.
The team will continue to support telecoms and enterprise IT clients, with a particular focus on the expanding markets of Eastern and Southern Europe, Turkey, Russia and the CIS and Central Asia.
Sales growth puts RPI in the Fast 50 [01/09]
RP International has been identified as one of the UK's fastest growing private recruitment businesses, in a list compiled by The Recruiter magazine.
The Fast 50 list shows RPI achieved a compound annual growth rate of 29.2% between 2005 and 2007, during a period of organic growth across its international markets and the Middle East region in particular.
Seen as 'One to Watch' by Best Companies [01/09]
Following a survey of its employees, RP International has been awarded 'One To Watch' status in a guide to the UK's top companies, alongside international names like T-Mobile, HSBC and Ericsson.
The scheme organised by Best Companies ranks RPI in the top third of small companies that took part.
The survey revealed that 89% of RPI staff think their team is 'fun to work for', while 88% believe they can 'make a valuable contribution to the success of the company'. The feedback will help RPI towards its aim of achieving accredited star status in 2010.

High profile client advertising in The Times [10/08]
In a new client initiative, RP International is running weekly recruitment adverts in the international edition of the Times and Sunday Times newspapers. With 15,000 copies printed daily in Dubai and a readership of 50,000 across the Middle East and Europe, these adverts will enable our legal, financial services and telecoms clients to attract candidates from a truly international pool.

Second licence awarded in Dubai [09/08]
RPI has been awarded a second licence to operate in Dubai, allowing us to open a new office in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The new location will be home to our banking and financial services recruitment team as well as our legal consultants.

Increase of 40% in net income [07/08]
A successful year for RPI has resulted in a rise of 40% in the group's total net income, according to figures for the first quarter of 2008/2009 compared to the same period last year.
The number of RPI employees has also climbed by 48% to 85 over the past twelve months.
Launch of new logo [06/08]
RPI has updated its visual brand with a distinctive new logo. The new identity will support the company's ambition to be recognised as the industry's leading specialist recruiter in telecoms, legal and financial services.
Celebrating 10 years of success [05/08]
RP International celebrated its 10th anniversary as a recruitment specialist with employee events in London, Dubai and Singapore. Launched in 1998, the company has worked for more than 400 clients in over 100 countries in its first ten years. In 2002, it was the first specialist recruiter to open an office in Dubai.
New investment and advisory division launched [09/07]
RP International has launched Sterling, a new division dedicated to providing executive search services to find premier investment and advisory talent. The team will be based in Dubai and will predominantly serve M&A, corporate finance, private equity and strategy clients across the Middle East.
Sterling is being led by Imelda Dunlop, who has extensive professional experience of strategic consulting in Europe, Africa and the Gulf region. Imelda was previously a Director of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland and a strategy consultant with the Monitor Group.

Regional office opens in Singapore [09/07]
RPI has opened a new regional office to meet the growing demand for banking and telecoms professionals in the Asia Pacific region. Chris Baker, an experienced member of our Dubai team, will become regional manager.
The Singapore office will offer a broad range of services from executive search to contingent, contract and interim management solutions to new and existing clients across south-east Asia.
