DNB Bank

DNB, a leading Nordic FS Group with operations in Poland and the Baltics, were able to use RPI’s local network for a Core Banking Transformation project in Vilnius resulting in 50% of placements made from the local Lithuanian population. International consultants were then sourced from other locations across the CEE region. Nationalities placed included Lithuanian, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Greek and British.

“AB DNB bankas, part of the Norwegian Financial Group DNB, have been undergoing an IT transformation program, TODO, incorporating the implementation of a new core banking system Flexcube. During the past 2 years RP International has supported the bank by providing functional and technical IT consultants on a freelance basis, where skills gaps were identified in the project team.

Where skills were not available locally RPI utilised their extensive international network to identify relevant specialists from other locations across the CEE and wider European region and deployed these resources to the project.

This also involved managing the logistics of travel, accommodation, and ensuring that the consultants were working in a capacity that was fully compliant with local tax laws. This ensured that both the individual consultants and the resourcing team at DNB were able to focus solely on the successful delivery of the project.

The cooperation with RPI called attention to: timely delivery and flexibility. On many occasions the relevant resource was proposed within a week of releasing the request for skills, where at the same time the bank could increase and decrease their workforce according to demands of the project. The RPI account manager, Justin Frankum, made regular visits to the site in Vilnius, which helped to build strong relationships and swiftly resolve any issues. The overall experience was a very positive and approach was very professional.”
