Carl Azzoo joined RPI in 2001 to develop our financial services business. As a Managing Consultant, he is now responsible for a team of consultants, researchers and contractors working on projects across Europe.

Carl started his recruitment career after leaving university in 1996, initially as a researcher, consultant and then team leader. Having built up five years of experience, it was our international perspective and the chance to be part of a start-up enterprise that attracted him to RPI.

With hands-on support from the company's management, he has built a strong reputation in the financial services market and puts his team's success down to its specialist market focus.

How Carl describes his time at RPI

"My role is all about setting up and establishing relationships - with clients and contractors. It is not about aggressive sales. It's about knowing your market and networking properly.

It's also about being a mentor to my team and giving them direction. I encourage all of our consultants to develop their knowledge, build their reputation within their own niche markets and make sure their name is known throughout the market. They should be the first person our clients or contractors think of calling if they have a need within these niche domains."
