Cloud solution and data centre services provider OneAsia revealed the opening of its data centre in Hong Kong and the launch of business continuity services earlier this month. The data centre, located in the Chai Wan area of Hong Kong, will support the business continuity of mission critical operators.
OneAsia Founder & CEO Charles Lee says in the announcement that the business continuity solution the company offers encompasses all aspects of business continuity services. It covers data centre, IT infrastructure, connectivity, business users working space, business continuity consultancy, tape vaulting to backup and recovery solutions.
At the data centre, customers will be able to enjoy security, protection and reliability. They will have shared conference rooms and working area at their disposal and will benefit from round-the-clock monitoring and operational support.
OneAsia's new data centre emerges at a time when demand for data centre services and cloud services in the Hong Kong business scene is growing, the company said. The data centre will strive to meet those business needs, it added.
Other companies in the IT sector have also established presence in Hong Kong for the same purpose. As we reported earlier this summer, US IT hosting company Rackspace also set foot in the region, bringing its Performance Cloud Servers to Hong Kong. Like OneAsia, the company tries to cater to APAC companies' cloud services needs, offering customers speed and reliability at a time when firms in the region are increasingly adopting hybrid cloud in order to increase application support and scalability, and to expand the range of workloads running in the cloud.
