International SOS, a medical services provider, has entered into a new partnership with Vodafone which entails three contracts between the two companies. The contracts outline the provision of a range of integrated communications services.
The first agreement foresees Vodafone managing mobility services for about 1,300 employees in a number of key markets. The aim of this agreement is to help International SOS manage its mobile communications more easily.
International SOS also signed a contract for Vodafone Telecoms Management, covering a suite of services enabling International SOS to manage its fixed and mobile telecoms services centrally.
The third contract signed by Vodafone and International SOS is for cloud and hosting services in the UK. This agreement provides International SOS with the IT infrastructure to host a range of applications to meet its business requirements.
Richard Davies, chief information officer at International SOS, highlighted the importance of having reliable communications and said that it was essential for the company to partner with a global operator. He called Vodafone a "natural fit," known for its strength and experience. With Vodafone's Telecoms Management service International SOS can track usage and spending across various providers and countries, Davies explained. Moreover, the British telecommunications company's cloud and hosting services allow International SOS to pay only for the services it has used and is flexible enough to respond rapidly to changing business needs.
The announcement also quoted Stevan Hoyle, president for Asia and Africa at Vodafone Global Enterprise, who pointed to the vital role International SOS plays in helping multinational companies keep their employees healthy and safe. The fact that the company chose Vodafone as a partner serves as recognition of the expertise of the telecommunications company as a total communications provider, Hoyle noted.
International SOS is a provider of integrated medical, clinical and security services to multinational corporate clients, governments and non-governmental organisations.
